Construction and Preliminary Verification of Aerospace Remote Sensing-based Digital Road Network for Roadless Navigation

Abstract
With the growing demand for operations and exploration in roadless environments,the vehicle mobility navigation in such settings has become critically important for national defense and economic development.Traditional field survey methods face limitations in unfamiliar roadless terrains,while space-based remote sensing can provide large-scale,all-weather,and all-time data.However,the lack of established correlations between remote sensing data and key navigation parameters has hindered the further application of remote sensing technology in roadless navigation.To meet the requirements of vehicle mobility navigation in roadless environments,a remote sensing data framework of roadless navigation is established by integrating satellite data with terrain trafficability models and critical terrain features.A comprehensive space-based remote sensing method of constructing digital road networks in terrestrial roadless areas is proposed.The preliminary validation of the foundational data and trafficability in the Chuzhou test area demonstrates satisfactory accuracy for the basic data,with the geometric traversability precision exceeding 80%,the trafficability rut prediction accuracy better than 2 cm,and the vehicle speed prediction accuracy surpassing 90%.The proposed data framework and methodological system provide valuable references for developing vehicle mobility navigation systems in roadless environments,holding significant implications for realizing effective vehicle navigation in such challenging terrains.关键词
