Abstract
Juglone,a natural organic compound primarily derived from Juglandaceae plants,exhibits diverse biological activities,including antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,antitumor antibacterial,and antiviral effects.Common extraction and purification methods for juglone include solvent extraction,hot-water extraction,ultrasound-assisted extraction,supercritical-fluid extraction,and enzyme-microwave-assisted extraction;purification techniques comprise high-performance liquid chromatography,solid-phase extraction,and macroporous adsorption resin.As a natural antimicrobial,immunomodulator,and antioxidant,juglone can reduce antibiotic consumption,lower the risk of drug resistance,and simultaneously improve feed conver-sion efficiency and animal growth performance,thus offering promising prospects in livestock and poultry production.This review systematically summarizes the extraction and purification processes,biological activities,and mechanisms of juglone,along with its application potential in animal husbandry,aiming to provide a theoretical foundation for the practical utilization of juglone in livestock and poultry farming.关键词
