Abstract
The Northern Special Task Force(STF)was a crucial intra-party organization established by the CPC in Beijing,Tianjin,and other places,responsible for carrying out work among the upper eche-lons.In 1931,to shift away from the single-tiered grassroots strategy and in respond to the political re-quests of Feng Yuxiang and other departments,Hu Egong,Chen Geng,and others were successively dis-patched to the north to establish an STF organization embedded in the northern political environment to engage in upper-level military and political work.By employing a group of revolutionary"outsiders"and developing leads within the Nationalist military and police apparatus,the Northern STF achieved mutual protection with local party organizations.At the same time,starting from Feng Yuxiang's own united front work,the STF activated the revolutionary roles of senior officers within Feng's forces,reshaping revolu-tionary strength in the military from top to bottom.During the arduous phase of the White Zone Revolu-tion,the Northern STF leveraged its unique institutional advantages to achieve outstanding results in or-ganizational security and military united front efforts,while also creating historical experience for the CPC's political shift in the early stages of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.关键词
