Measuring New-Quality Productivity in China's High-End Equipment Manufacturing Firms

Abstract
Based on data from Chinese high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises from 2014 to 2023,super-efficiency SBM,Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition,kernel density estimation,and Markov chain models were employed to investigate the development level,regional disparities,and spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of new quality productivity.The findings revealed that:first,the overall development level generally followed a"decline→fluctuation→rise"trend,with the eastern region outperforming the central,western,and northeastern regions;second,overall regional disparities showed a slight fluctuating decline,with interregional differences being the primary source of regional variation;third,no significant polarization effect was observed,state transitions demonstrated stability with a high probability of maintaining the original state,and evidence of "club convergence"and spatial spillover effects was identified.It was recommended that the development level of new quality productivity in high-end equipment manufacturing enterprises should be continuously enhanced,regional development gaps should be narrowed,and innovation development guarantee mechanisms should be improved.关键词
