Concordance between Fiber-Optic Catheterization Method and Blood Gas Analysis Method in Assessing Corrective Surgical Indications for Patients with Congenital Heart Disease Associated Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

Abstract
Objective To discuss the concordance between fiber-optic catheterization method and blood gas analysis method in assessing corrective surgical indications for patients with congenital heart disease associated pulmonary arterial hypertension(CHD-PAH).Methods A total of 20 CHD-PAH patients hospitalized at Fuwai Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from November 19,2021 to January 21,2022 were enrolled.All patients received right heart catheterization,and the pulmonary arterial oxygen saturation(SpaO2),mixed venous oxygen saturation(SvO2),pulmonary vascular resistance(PVR),and pulmonary-to-systemic blood flow ratio(Qp/Qs)before and after oxygen inhalation were detected by both fiber-optic catheterization method and blood gas analysis method.The concordance of corrective surgical indications for CHD-PAH patients was assessed between the two measurement methods.Results There was no statistically significant differences in SpaO2,SvO2,PVR,Qp/Qs before and after oxygen inhalation in CHD-PAH patients measured by the two measurement methods(P>0.05).The assessment results of corrective surgical indications showed that,fiber-optic catheterization method and blood gas analysis method showed a concordance in the assessment of corrective surgical indications in 19 patients,with an agreement rate of 95.0%(19/20).Conclusion Fiber-optic catheterization method shows a high concordance with blood gas analysis method in evaluating corrective surgical indications in CHD-PAH patients.关键词
