Abstract
The"Concept of harmony,"originating from ancient philosophy,constitutes the essence of traditional Chinese culture.It permeates all theories of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)as a fundamental concept that guides the understanding of life,the treat-ment of diseases,and the ongoing development of this medical system.Within the holistic concept,it manifests as a view of harmony between humanity and nature grounded in the unity of heaven and man,a view of harmony between the individual and their geographical and social environment,and a view of harmony rooted in the intrinsic unity of the human body.In the practice of syndrome differentia-tion and treatment,it is embodied as the harmonizing method,which seeks to restore balance from states of disharmony and is regarded as the optimal therapeutic principle.Professor WANG Xixing proposes that within TCM clinical practice,the"Concept of harmony"fur-ther informs its people-oriented philosophy,facilitates the building of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship,contributes to the estab-lishment of a correct health outlook,guides the evolution of"precision medicine"in TCM,and illuminates the developmental trajectory of TCM in contemporary society.This paper systematically examines the notion of harmony within TCM theory to provide insights and ref-erences for advancing its inheritance and innovation.关键词
