摘要

Abstract

Direct and resonance photoionization of aluminum-like Ar5+ions from the ground state 1s22s22p63s23p 2P1/2 is studied by using the multiconfigurational Dirac-Hartree-Fock method and the relativistic R-matrix theory.Emphasis is placed on exploring direct and resonance photoionization limits and resonance structure,as well as on identifying possible resonance channels.For this purpose,photoionization cross sections of the ground state of Ar5+ions are calculated using the DARC package based on the R-matrix theory.Direct and resonance ionization limits are obtained,while resonance structure of the Rydberg series is analyzed and described by looking for prominent resonance energy positions.It is found that the identified resonance peaks are related to configurations 1s22s22p63s3lnl'(l=p,d).This work is expected to fill the gap for Ar5+ions,and contributes to the diagnostics and simulation of various astrophysical and laboratory plasmas as well as thermonuclear fusion plasmas,along with other available photoionization data for argon ions.
