Growth mindset promotes academic engagement:Psychological mechanisms,neural foundations and synergistic intervention

Abstract
This study systematically investigated the psychological mechanisms and neural correlates of how growth mindset influences academic engagement through eleven sub-studies,while also evaluating the effects of interventions.Study 1(five sub-studies)utilized a multi-method approach to examine the psychological pathways through which growth mindset is linked to academic engagement.Study 2(two sub-studies)employed event-related potentials(ERPs)to identify neural correlates underlying the influence of growth mindset on academic engagement.Study 3(four sub-studies)developed and tested a pre-registered collaborative intervention program,finding that compared to traditional approaches,the program significantly enhanced both sense of meaning in life and academic engagement,with meaning in life serving as a significant mediator.These findings offer scientific contributions and practical implications for promoting academic engagement.关键词
