The Digital Transformation of Time and the Manifestation of Crisis:Byung-Chul Han's Modernity Critique and Reflection on the Time Crisis

Abstract
The time crisis is an important dimension for German philosopher Byung-Chul Han to diagnose the survival crisis of people in the digital age.In the context of digital technology empowerment and modernity,time is in a crisis state.Byung-Chul Han believes that humanity has entered a digital era with multi-dimensional coverage of algorithms,data,and artificial intelligence.In this era,time began to move from persistence and continuity to fragmentation and discontinuity,and began to atomize,with the consequence of"hollowing out truth";Starting to collapse,forming a"point like time",the consequence is the"end of the narrative";Starting to pull away leads to the dissipation of time,and the consequence is the disintegration of continuous experience.Returning to Aristotelian"leisure",opposing the"integration of labor"and social"hyper communication",and smelling the fragrance of time in"contemplation","contemplation",and"idleness"are the specific paths provided by Byung-Chul Han to overcome the time crisis.Byung-Chul Han's reflection on the current human time crisis not only has a novel perspective,but also has a refined writing style,emitting a unique theoretical charm.However,its explanation of this did not reveal the fundamental symptoms that triggered the time crisis.The path of deconstructing the time crisis follows the philosophical path of Western metaphysics,with a strong theological atmosphere,focusing on the inner spontaneity,self-awareness,and introspection of the subject,resulting in a slightly weak diagnosis and treatment of the time crisis.Revealing and elucidating Byung-Chul Han's critique of the modernity of time crisis not only helps humanity to make early prevention of time crisis,but also provides practical inspiration for uncovering time crisis and entering the path of time liberation.关键词
