Interaction Between Community-based Co-management in Nature Reserves and Sustainable Livelihoods

Abstract
Taking the Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province as a case study,this research employs a sustainable livelihoods framework and methods,such as the entropy weight method and stepwise regression models,to empirically analyze the interactive effects between community-based co-management(CBCM)and sustainable livelihoods.The results indicate that CBCM significantly enhances residents'livelihood capital through'institutional empowerment-capacity building-incentives and constraints',with social and financial capital benefiting the most.Livelihood capital,in turn,positively influences residents'perception of CBCM effec-tiveness by affecting their level of participation in CBCM initiatives.Among the perceived outcomes,social benefits were relatively higher,while economic benefits were relatively lower.Based on these findings,corresponding opti-mization recommendations for CBCM are proposed.This study provides theoretical support and empirical evidence for refining CBCM policies in nature reserves.关键词
