《诗经》中竹的多样性探究
The Diversity of Bamboo in The Book of Songs
摘要
Abstract
The Book of Songs,China's earliest poetry collection, records a vast number of plants, with many poems directly or indirectly related to bamboo. This study uses bamboo-related Chinese characters from Chinese Dic-tionary to analyze its specific manifestations in The Book of Songs, examine bamboo's distribution in that period from an ecological perspective, and explore the bio-cultural diversity of bamboo described in the text. The result shows that bamboo recorded in the Lessons from the States was widely distributed across a vast geographical area spanning from the Yellow River Basin. The bamboo genera likely include Bambusa,Fargesia,Qiongzhuea,Phyl-lostachys,and Bashania, each exhibiting a rich regional abundance, and to outline the varied natural environments inhabited by ancient Chinese people during the pre-Qin period as well.It also suggests the inter-communication and spread of writing scripts, culture, and economy across the Yellow River Basin. The transmission likely originated from the Emperor Zhou's ruling domain as a central point, then spread along the Yellow River, gradually from the middle to the lower reaches.Providing an ecological perspective on bamboo in The Book of Songs offers a new lens for deepening understanding of China and articulating Chinese narratives. It also provides historical insights for the contemporary practice of'Bamboo Transplantation from the South to the North'.关键词
