Wide power range wireless energy harvester based on compact metasurface

Abstract
With the increasing topological density of the Internet of Things(IoT),conventional energy harvesting systems,which are sensitive to input power fluctuations,struggle to meet the demands of wide-range power energy harvesting in complex electromagnetic environments.This paper proposes a wide-power Rectifying Metasurface(RMS)integrated with SMS7630 diodes.By optimizing the unit cell structure of the RMS to provide high impedance,conjugate matching can be achieved with the nonlinear impedance characteristics of rectifying diodes,thereby balancing the impedance variations of the rectifying diodes across a wide power range without requiring external matching networks.Full-wave analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the designed RMS operates at 5.8 GHz and is suitable for environments with input power ranging from-7 dBm to 2 dBm.Experimental testing based on a 5×5 RMS array shows that the Radio Frequency-to-Direct Current(RF-DC)conversion efficiency remains above 24%throughout this power range,achieving a peak efficiency of 43%at 2 dBm.关键词
