Analysis of Medication Patterns in Chinese Medicine in Treating Adolescent Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Based on Data Mining

Abstract
Objective:To analyze the medication patterns of Chinese medicine in treating adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)based on data mining.Methods:Literature on clinical studies and expert experiences related to Chinese medicine treatment of adolescent PCOS published from the inception of databases to June 30,2025,was retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform(Wanfang),China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP),and the China Biology Medicine disc(CBM).Articles meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were screened,and herb names were standardized.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS Modeler 18.0,SPSS Statistics 26.0,and Microsoft Excel to examine syndrome type distribution,herb frequency,properties,flavors,and meridian tropism.Association rule analysis and cluster analysis were conducted on high-frequency herbs.Results:A total of 102 articles were screened,containing 142 prescriptions and identifying 15 syndrome types,of which 7 syndrome types involved kidney deficiency.A total of 147 herbs were involved,with 27 high-frequency herbs including Angelicae Sinensis Radix,Poria,and Cuscutae Semen.Herb properties were predominantly warm,neutral,and slightly cold;flavors were mainly sweet,bitter,and pungent;and meridian tropism primarily involved the liver,kidney,and spleen meridians.Association rule analysis identified eight effective common herbal couplets;cluster analysis yielded four herb combinations.Conclusion:The pathogenesis of adolescent PCOS is characterized by kidney deficiency as the root,accompanied by liver heat,spleen dampness,and the binding of phlegm and stasis.The medication pattern features the use of sweet-warm and neutral-tonifying herbs,bitter-cool and dispersing-clearing herbs,and the appropriate combination of cold and warm herbs,exhibiting the characteristics of preserving yang and nourishing yin,activating blood circulation and resolving turbidity,and balancing reinforcement and reduction.关键词
