Application paths and cinematic practices of immersive digital technology in cultural heritage transformation:Taking the digital art exhibition of caisson ceil-ings as an example

Abstract
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period,the integration of cultural heritage conservation with technological innova-tion has propelled the digital empowerment and transformation of cultural development,injecting fresh momentum into the growth of new cultural industries.As a core decorative element in classical Chinese architecture,the digital preservation of caisson ceilings faces multiple challenges,including difficulties in accurately documenting their original state,the complex-ity of their timber structures,and limited public engagement opportunities.Based on the project"Houses of Heaven:An Im-mersive Digital Art Experience of Chinese Caisson Ceilings",this paper systematically explores a technical path,from high-precision data acquisition and three-dimensional reconstruction to immersive exhibition design.By integrating laser scan-ning,photogrammetry,and CAVE spatial technologies,this paper proposes a digital solution balancing academic precision with artistic expressiveness.The project demonstrates its effectiveness in enhancing the geometric accuracy and structural fidelity of original ceiling designs,significantly boosting public engagement with cultural heritage.This provides a reusable technical pathway for the digital revitalization of cultural heritage.The high-precision digital model produced by this solution constitutes a visualization asset with cinematic quality.It can be directly applied to fields such as film visual effects,virtual production,and digital art creation,providing core resources for the sustainable utilization and cross-disciplinary innovative expression of cultural heritage.关键词
