Research Progress on Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Evaluating Tumor Bud-ding in Rectal Cancer

Abstract
Rectal cancer is one of the common malignant gastrointestinal tumors in clinical practice.As a key biological feature,tumor budding serves as a core reference indicator for risk stratification and clinical decision-making.Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),a noninvasive biomedical imaging technique without ionizing radiation,has become a core imaging modality for the clinical evaluation of rectal cancer owing to its advantages such as high soft-tissue resolution and multiplanar imaging capability.This article systematically reviewed the pathological characteristics and clinical significance of tumor budding in rectal cancer,the application status of MRI techniques for evaluating tumor budding in rectal cancer,as well as the clinical advantages and limitations of various MRI sequences,aiming to provide new ideas and references for subsequent related research,optimization of clinical diagnosis and treatment protocols,and noninvasive preoperative assessment of tumor budding in rectal cancer.关键词
