Abstract
Objective To analyze the effect of artificial tears combined with pranoprofen on the recovery of visual function quality in patients with dry eye after cataract surgery. Methods The study subjects were 260 patients with dry eye disease after cataract surgery admitted to Qinghai Oilfield Hospital from January 2020 to December 2024.By using the random number table method, patients were divided into two groups(a control group and a study group),each group had 130 patients. The control group was treated with artificial tears, while the study group was additionally administered pranoprofen eye drops on the basis of the treatment received by the control group, and comparisons were made between the two groups in terms of clinical efficacy, dry eye symptom scores, and improvements in tear secretion indexes[tear break-up time(BUT),corneal fluorescein staining(FL)and Schirmer Ⅰ test(SⅠT),as well as visual function parameters[negative relative accommodation(NRA),positive relative accommodation(PRA),accommodative facility(AF),amplitude of accommodation(AMP)and stereopsis].Results Compared with the control group,in which the total effective rate was 75.38%,the study group demonstrated a significantly higher total effective rate of 96.92%(P<0.05).The dry eye symptom score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group after 2 and 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).Meanwhile,regarding the visual function indicators after treatment, the study group showed significantly higher levels of BUT,SⅠT,NRA,AF and AMP,as well as significantly lower levels of FL,PRA,and stereopsis compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with dry eye after cataract surgery, the application of artificial tears combined with pranoprofen can improve the therapeutic effect, alleviate dry eye symptoms, improve visual function, increase tear secretion, and is associated with favorable safety.关键词
