Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of ipratropium bromide in treating patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its effect on serum immune-related indicators and airway remodeling.Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,admitted to the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Hukou County People's Hospital from November 2020 to October 2024,were enrolled and randomly assigned via a random number table method into a control group(n=50)and a study group(n=50).The control group received treatment with budesonide,whereas the study group was administered ipratropium bromide via aerosol inhalation.The treatment efficiency,serum immune-related indexes[serum immunoglobulin A(IgA),serum immunoglobulin G(IgG),serum immunoglobulin M(IgM)],airway remodeling[tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase 1(TIMP1),basic fibroblast growth factor(b-FGF),matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9),nerve growth factor(NGF)],pulmonary function[forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow(PEF),FEV1/FVC]were compared between the two groups.Results In terms of total response rate,the study group demonstrated a significantly higher rate than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group in terms of serum immune-related indicators,airway remodeling status,and pulmonary function parameters after treatment,the study group exhibited significantly higher levels of IgG,IgM,and IgA,significantly lower levels of TIMP1,b-FGF,MMP-9,and NGF,as well as markedly elevated values of FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC,and PEF when compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,the administration of ipratropium bromide via aerosol inhalation achieved satisfactory clinical outcomes,significantly enhancing patients'immune and pulmonary functions and contributing to favorable airway remodeling,thereby representing a therapeutic approach that is well-suited for broader clinical implementation.关键词
