Expression and clinical significance of SMARCA4 gene in pan-cancer analysis

Abstract
Objective To analyze the expression and clinical significance of SMARCA4 gene in human tumors through the utilization of the biological public database system.Methods A new category of"SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated thoracic tumors"was added to WHO Classification of Tumours:Thoracic Tumours(5th Edition),which indicated the specificity and representativity of SMARCA4 gene in thoracic tumors.Based on the above situation,mRNA expression profiles and relevant clinical data of 33 cancer samples and corresponding normal samples were retrieved from the TCGA database in this study.The immunoassay website GEPIA 2 and the web tool TIMER were employed to analyze the distribution of SMARCA4 in different organs,its expression in different tumors and adjacent tissues,survival prognosis analysis,correlation between gene expression and clinical stage,gene mutation,signaling pathway,and interaction network,immune infiltration,and gene enrichment,etc.Results The expression of SMARCA4 in various tumors was higher than that in the adjacent tissues,and the expression tended to increase along with the escalation of the clinical stage of the tumor.The survival prognosis of tumor patients with high expression of SMARCA4 was unfavorable,and immunoinfiltration analysis indicated that SMARCA4 was correlated with CD8+T cells in tumors.Gene enrichment analysis revealed that SMARCA4 and SMARCB1 were similar and exhibited protein interactions.Conclusion SMARCA4 is involved in the occurrence,development,and immune invasion of multiple tumors.The high expression of this gene implies a poor survival prognosis and can be utilized as a marker for early screening and a focus on pan-cancer tumors.关键词
