摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of progressive resistance training combined with intermittent pneumatic compression on edematous limb circumference and quality of life in patients with lower limb lymphedema after cervical cancer surgery. Methods A total of 76 patients with lower limb lymphedema after cervical cancer surgery who were admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2023 to March 2025 were enrolled as the study subjects. They were divided by the random number table method into a control group(n=38,progressive resistance training)and a study group(n=38,progressive resistance training combined with intermittent pneumatic compression).Changes in lower limb pain, edematous limb circumference, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After 12 weeks of treatment, the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores for lower limb pain decreased in both groups compared with those before treatment, and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment, the circumferences at the mid-knee,10 cm and 20 cm above the superior border of the patella, and 10 cm and 20 cm below the inferior border of the patella decreased in both groups, and these measurements in the study group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).However,there were no statistically significant differences in the mid-ankle circumference either between pre-and post-treatment within the two groups or between the two groups after 12 weeks of treatment(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment, the scores of the Chinese simplified version of the Lymphedema Functioning,Disability, and Health Questionnaire for Lower Limb Lymphedema(Lymph-ICF-LL)decreased in both groups compared with those before treatment, and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Intervention with progressive resistance training combined with intermittent pneumatic compression in patients with lower limb lymphedema after cervical cancer surgery can effectively alleviate lower limb pain, reduce edematous limb circumference, and improve their quality of life.关键词
