Abstract
Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of AIDS-related deaths in Shiyan City.Methods Data from AIDS-related death cases in Shiyan City between 2020 and 2024 were analyzed.Results There were 247 HIV/AIDS patients died in Shiyan City from 2020 to 2024,with individuals aged≥50 years accounting for 68.4％.The median age at death was 65 years(20-92).Most death cases were passively detected,primarily through testing of other healthcare seekers(55.5％),with a high proportion of late diagnosis.Only 78.1％of the cases received antiretroviral therapy,and the main cause of death was non-AIDS-related mortality(78.1％).Additionally,31.9％of patients died within the year of di-agnosis.Conclusion Between 2020 and 2024,HIV/AIDS patients in Shiyan City faced a relatively high risk of premature death.It is recommended to continue optimizing screening strategies to achieve early detection and diagnosis.Furthermore,efforts should be strengthened to implement comprehensive and categorized case management and expand treatment cover-age.关键词
