Abstract
The quality and safety of agricultural products from"farm"to"fork"is effectively safeguarded by the revision and enforcement of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Agricultural Product Quality and Safety.Based on a case in which ricefield eels,a type of aquatic product,were found to have excessive residues of ciprofloxacin and enrofloxacin during supervisory sampling,rendering them non-compliant with agricultural product quality and safety standards,the challenges encountered in handling such cases,including determination of facts during investigations,case transfer procedures,identification of the involved party's status as a farmer,exercise of discretionary power in administrative penalties,and whether quarantine was needed for live aquatic products prior to their marketing,were analyzed and discussed,aiming to guide agricultural law enforcement officials on how to handle similar cases,and thereby to improve public awareness of agricultural product quality and safety.关键词
