Abstract
Pyrophyllite ore is a critically strategic emerging mineral resource widely used in high-tech fields such as fiberglass,refractory materials,and pressure-transmitting media,as well as traditional applications including ceramics and papermaking.The Wutai pyrophyllite orebodies occur within the Neoarchean Hongmenyan Formation and are hosted in greenschist-facies rocks.Their occurrence aligns with the strata on the southern limb of the Taihuai-Lijiazhai composite syncline.The ore bodies are quasi-stratiform in shape.The ore is characterized by high silica,low alumina,and elevated potassium and sodium contents,and belongs to the siliceous-aluminous pyrophyllite ore type.The deposit is classified as a regional metamorphic-type deposit.The Wutai pyrophyllite deposit in Shanxi Province is a large-scale deposit newly discovered in northern China in recent years.Research on its metallogenic geological characteristics and genesis provides valuable guidance for prospecting pyrophyllite resources in Wutai and surrounding areas.关键词
