Abstract
Objective Based on the theory of intestinal microecological homeostasis,to investigate the nurs-ing effect of Chinese medicinal enema combined with thunder-fire moxibustion on intestinal mucosa repair,inflammation improvement,clinical symptom relief and quality of life(QOL)in patients with chronic colitis.Methods A total of 80 patients with active chronic colitis were enrolled in this prospective controlled study and randomly assigned to the control group and the observation group using a random number table,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received conventional treatment and basic nursing,while the observation group was additionally given comprehensive nursing intervention of Chinese medicinal enema combined with thunder-fire moxibustion.The levels of fecal calprotectin(FC),serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),diamine oxidase(DAO)and Mayo endoscopic score were compared between the two groups before intervention and 14 days after intervention.The improvement of clinical symptoms including abdominal pain,diarrhea and mucopurulent bloody stool was evaluated.The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire(IBDQ)was used to assess QOL before intervention and 3 months after intervention.Results Before intervention,there were no significant differences in all the above indicators between the two groups(P>0.05).After 14 days of intervention,inflammatory and mucosa repair indicators in both groups were signifi-cantly improved compared with baseline(P<0.05),and the levels OF FC,TNF-α,IL-6,DAO and Mayo endoscopic score in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).For clinical symptoms,scores of abdominal pain,diarrhea and mucopurulent bloody stool in both groups were decreased compared with those before intervention(P<0.05),which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.001).Three months after intervention,the increases in total IBDQ score and its dimensions(intestinal symptoms,emotional status,systemic status,social function)in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Chinese medicinal enema combined with thunder-fire moxibustion can effectively alleviate inflammation,promote intestinal mucosa repair,relieve clinical symptoms and significantly improve QOL in patients with chronic colitis.The compre-hensive nursing intervention based on intestinal microecological homeostasis theory is of high clinical promotion value.关键词
