Abstract
The revised Maritime Code of the People's Republic of China clarifies the adversarial effect of registration of lessors'ownership in ship financial leases,providing a higher-level legal basis for improving the relevant system.At present,the competent registration authority for ship financial leases remains undefined,and the interim"bareboat charter(financial lease)"model has drawbacks including ambiguous legal attributes,unclear ownership publicity,and cumbersome procedures.Drawing on useful experience from both domestic and international sources,and through revising supporting regulations such as the Ship Registration Regulations,this paper proposes specifying the competent authority,adding registration categories and optimizing procedures,to establish a compatible registration system that aligns with the characteristics of ship financial leasing transactions.关键词
