Predictive value of ultrasound features and Ki-67 expression for cholangiocarcinoma metastasis and their interaction

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the predictive value of ultrasound features and Ki-67 expression in cholangiocarcinoma metastasis and the interaction between them.Methods:A total of 56 patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma and treated from October 2018 to March 2025 were included in this study.Among them,20 patients had metastatic cholangiocarcinoma,and 36 had non-metastatic cholangiocarcinoma.Clinical data,ultrasound features,and Ki-67 expression were compared be-tween the two groups,and the interaction between ultrasound features and Ki-67 in predicting metastasis was analyzed.Re-sults:Significant differences were observed between the metastasis group and non-metastasis group in terms of TNM stage,e-chogenicity,maximum tumor diameter,tumor morphology,tumor margin,blood flow signal,and Ki-67 expression.Multivariate analysis indicated that TNM stage,echogenicity,maximum tumor diameter,tumor morphology,tumor margin,blood flow signal,and positive Ki-67 expression were all significant risk factors for metastasis.Multiplicative interaction model analysis showed positive interactive effects between Ki-67 and TNM stage,echogenicity,tumor size,morphology,margin,and blood flow sig-nals,jointly influencing the occurrence of metastasis.Conclusion:Ultrasound features and Ki-67 positivity play important roles in the assessment and prediction of cholangiocarcinoma metastasis.Ultrasound can reflect changes in tumor morphology,e-chogenicity,and vascularity,which are associated with tumor proliferative activity and malignancy,aiding in the diagnosis of both primary lesions and metastases.关键词
