上海合作组织国家农产品贸易网络结构特征及其演化研究
STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS AND EVOLUTION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT TRADE NETWORK AMONG SHANGHAI COOPERATION ORGANIZATION COUNTRIES

Abstract
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO)not only promotes economic cooperation and exchange among countries in agricultural trade,but also provides important support for addressing global agricultural challenges,ensuring food safety and promoting sustainable development.Based on the panel data from 2003 to 2022,this research aims to analyze the characteristics of the evolution of the agricultural trade network of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation(SCO)at three levels,namely,overall characteristics,group characteristics and individual characteristics by using the social network analysis.The results were listed as follows.(1)In terms of individual characteristics within the trade network,the trade volume kept growing in general.In addition,the importance of Turkey,the UAE and India in the network was gradually emerging,revealing their potential to boost regional trade.The number of structural holes of each country in agricultural trade gradually increased,implying the reduction of trade barriers and the increase of co-operation opportunities,thus enhancing the middleman advantage.This trend not only boosted economic integration within the region,but also provided new opportunities for countries to address uncertainties in the global trading environment.(2)In terms of group-level characteristics of the trade network,the number of peripheral countries gradually decreased,the core region of the trade network became increasingly stable,and the network began to evolve toward greater diversification.In this process,China not only consolidated its core position but also actively expanded cooperation with other countries by adjusting its trade strategies.(3)In terms of the overall characteristics of the trade network,changes in the network density,average path length,reciprocity,and clustering coefficient all indicated that the agricultural product trade network of the SCO became increasingly connected with a higher level of cooperation.In particular,the rise in the average clustering coefficient and the decline in the average path length signal the evolution of the network toward"small-world"characteristics,further enhancing connectivity among countries.Accordingly,it is proposed to strengthen China's central position and leading role,accelerate the construction of a resilient agricultural trade network within the SCO,reduce trade barriers,increase cooperation opportunities,as well as optimize the trade network structure to promote the integration of peripheral countries into the network.关键词
