Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the wear resistance and tensile properties of three domestically produced T800-grade carbon fibers(T800A,T800B,T800C)and provide a basis for their industrial application potential.Based on GB/T 41956-2022 fuzzing amount test,the results show that T800C has the lowest fuzzing amount(0.3 mg/0.02 m),with a smooth surface and no obvious axial grooves,attributed to its dry-jet wet-spinning process;while T800A and T800B,produced by wet spinning,have rough surfaces with more axial grooves,resulting in higher fuzzing amounts(1.5 and 1.6 mg/0.02 m,respectively).Atomic force microscopy(AFM)analysis of surface roughness reveals that siz-ing agents can reduce roughness,with the highest roughness observed for T800C-T after desizing(103.1 nm).Tensile tests indicate that T800C has the most stable performance,with an average tensile strength of 5529 MPa,approaching in-ternational levels(Torayca T800:5880 MPa),while T800A exhibits a larger coefficient of variation in strength(Cv=8.2%).This study demonstrates the critical impact of spinning processes and surface treatments on the wear resistance and mechanical properties of carbon fibers,providing theoretical support for the optimization of domestically produced T800-grade carbon fibers.
