摘要

Abstract

To resolve the demolding challenges associated with circumferential undercut side holes in high aspect-ratio(L/D5)cylindrical plastic parts,this paper reports a novel injection mold design incorporating laterally movable cores.By orienting the part axis perpendicular to the mold opening direction and employing a hydraulically actuated multi-stage ejec-tion system,significant optimizations were achieved,including a reduced mold closing height and lower required injec-tion machine tonnage.The mold utilizes a split cavity(HALF)design with modular core inserts and a sequentially con-trolled,compound demolding mechanism.Material distribution is managed through a five-point balanced hot runner with rib gating.The thermal management system features eight uniformly distributed cooling circuits in the cavity and dual spi-ral cooling channels in the core,complemented by strategically placed vent pins and slots to enhance gas evacuation.This integrated solution combining a lateral demolding layout,hydraulic sequential ejection,and coordinated cooling and venting systems provides a cost-effective approach for manufacturing high aspect-ratio tubular plastic parts,offering sub-stantial engineering value for similar applications.
