Rehabilitation of interstitial pulmonary disease related to connective tissue diseases by a multidisciplinary team of traditional Chinese and Western medicine:overcoming challenges and optimizing pathways

Abstract
In light of the complex etiology,significant heterogeneity,and multiple comorbidities of connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease(CTD-ILD),it is clinically practical to explore the importance and implementation pathways of establishing an integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine multidisciplinary collaborative rehabilitation model for this condition.That is,according to the current status and challenges in CTD-ILD rehabilitation,we aim to look for the strengths of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine in addressing these difficulties,while incorporating the concept of"treatable traits(TTs)"into the formulation of rehabilitation strategies.The individualized rehabilitation needs of patients are assessed from three perspectives:pulmonary,extrapulmonary,and behavioral risks.Based on this foundation,a preliminary CTD-ILD rehabilitation pathway of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is proposed,led by departments of respiratory and critical care medicine and rheumatology and immunology,and collaboratively involving rehabilitation medicine,geriatrics,nutrition,psychosomatic medicine,acupuncture and moxibustion,tuina,nursing,and other related disciplines.The integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine multidisciplinary collaborative rehabilitation model leverages the strengths of traditional Chinese medicine,such as its holistic perspective and syndrome differentiation-based treatment,combined with the precise assessment and multidisciplinary integration of modern medicine.This approach contributes to alleviating symptoms and improving exercise tolerance and quality of life in CTD-ILD patients,and may potentially delay disease progression.However,further evidence-based research is needed to optimize this pathway and provide stronger evidence and support for clinical practice.关键词
