Comparative Analysis of the Efficacy of Voriconazole Eye Drops and Natamycin Eye Drops Combined with Corneal Ulcer Debridement in the Treatment of Fungal Keratitis and its Effect on Hyphal Infiltration Depth

Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of voriconazole eye drops versus natamycin eye drops combined with corneal ulcer debridement in the treatment of fungal keratitis(FK)and its effect on hyphal infiltration depth.Methods:Medical records of 80 FK patients who underwent corneal ulcer debridement in our hospital from June 2019 to June 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.They were divided into the control group(n=38)and the observation group(n=42)according to different treatments.Both groups received levofloxacin eye drops as basic treatment after surgery.The control group was given natamycin eye drops,and the observation group was given voriconazole eye drops.Both groups were treated continuously for 4 weeks.Clinical efficacy,hyphal infiltration depth,total ocular score,visual acuity and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results:After 4 weeks of treatment,the total clinical effective rate in the observation group(90.48%)was higher than that in the control group(73.68%,P<0.05).Hyphal infiltration depth and total ocular score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Visual acuity in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(χ2=0.339,P=0.560).Conclusion:On the basis of corneal ulcer debridement,voriconazole eye drops can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of FK patients,reduce hyphal infiltration depth and total ocular score,and improve visual acuity.关键词
