摘要

Abstract

This study investigated the silica content and distribution in Dendrocalamus sinicus.The results indicated that as bamboo age in-creased,the silicon content in Dendrocalamus sinicus rised from 1.02%in one-year-old culms to 1.24%in four-year-old culms.The distribu-tion of silicon across different parts of the bamboo showed a pattern where the top portion contained more silicon than the middle and base portions.Specifically,the silicon content in the outer layer(0.31%~0.74%)was significantly higher than in the middle and inner layers(0.03%~0.10%),with higher silicon levels found in the nodes compared to the internodes.The silicon was predominantly concentrated in the cell lumina of the epidermal cells in the outer layer,with only small amounts of silicon present in the cell lumina,cell walls,and intercellular spaces of the parenchyma cells in the middle and inner layers.
