The history and research overview of Chongqing academy of animal sciences

Abstract
Chongqing Academy of Animal Sciences is a public welfare-oriented research institution in animal husbandry established in 1951.As the leading organization for the National Center of Technology Innovation for Pigs,the academy focuses on research,demonstration and extension in animal genetics and breeding,animal nutrition and feed science,veterinary and pharmaceutical sciences,livestock-product storage and processing technology,livestock production environment and engineering,forage breeding and grassland science.It is also committed to the commercialization of animal-science achievements and for scientific cooperation and exchange.This paper provides a concise overview of its history,current status,principal research directions and progress,and future prospects.关键词
