Current situation and suggestions on the protection and development of Chongqing Apis cerana cerana germplasm resources
摘要
Abstract
Chinese honey bee,Apis cerana cerana,is the most important native pollinator and economic bee species in China.Chongqing is a major apiculture region for A.cerana cerana in China.The A.cerana cerana industry is playing an increasingly important role in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy in Chongqing.This article systematically reviews the breeding scale,morphology,and genetic diversity of A.cerana cerana in Chongqing,and elaborates on the status and challenges in conserving and utilizing its indigenous germplasm resources.Furthermore,we propose recommendations from three perspectives:resource protection,scientific support,and industrial development.Our aim is to provide a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for the scientific conservation and sustainable utilization of A.cerana cerana germplasm resources in Chongqing.关键词
