滋水清肝饮加减治疗男科疾病的应用举隅
Case studies on modified Zishui Qinggan Yin in treating andrological diseases

Abstract
Zishui Qinggan Yin(滋水清肝饮)is a renowned traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula used for clearing heat and nourishing Yin(阴).It was originally designed to treat epigastric pain due to Yin deficiency with fiery dryness caused by prolonged liver stagnation transforming into fire invading the stomach and damaging Yin overtime;it is now widely used for various conditions,including neuropsychiatric disorders such as insomnia,depression,and anxiety,as well as endocrine,immune system,and cardiovascular diseases.Therefore,any TCM condition diagnosed as liver fire due to water failing to nourish wood(kidney Yin deficiency failing to nourish liver Yin)accompanied by liver stagnation transforming into heat can be treated with Zishui Qinggan Yin to soothe the liver,purge heat,nourish Yin,and replenish blood.Zishui Qinggan Yin integrates"nourishing kidney Yin to support liver wood"(addressing the root cause)with"clearing liver fire to disperse stagnant heat"(addressing the symptoms),achieving both symptomatic and root-level treatment.The formula's shift from"soothing the liver"to"nourishing the liver"reflects the principle of"treating the liver by first treating the kidney",thus significantly expanding the scope of TCM in managing emotion-related disorders and various chronic diseases.It also embodies the preventive medicine concept of"preventing disease before it arises and preventing progression after onset".This study applies modified versions of Zishui Qinggan Yin to common andrological disorders diagnosed as kidney Yin deficiency with liver stagnation transforming into heat,accompanied by case analyses,demonstrating the characteristic TCM approach of"treating different diseases with the same therapy"based on syndrome differentiation.Through three clinical cases,this paper illustrates the adaptability of Zishui Qinggan Yin in treating various male reproductive disorders attributed to liver stagnation transforming into heat and kidney Yin deficiency,all showing favorable therapeutic outcomes.This article is intended to serve as a reference for clinical practice.关键词
