摘要

Abstract

The escalating issue of anthelmintic resistance(AR)in ruminants has emerged as a major challenge to the sustainable development of global livestock production.This paper systematically analyzes the multifaceted detrimental effects of helminth infections on ruminants,including impaired growth and development,compromised immune and reproductive performance,and reduced quantity and quality of meat and milk production and enumerates commonly used anthelmintic drugs in ruminant clinical practice.The underlying causes of AR are thoroughly explored from three dimensions:genetic variability in parasites,drug selection pressure,and management-related factors,followed by a discussion on the current prevalence of AR.Building upon this,scientifically sound mitigation strategies are proposed:optimizing anthelmintic usage protocols,accelerating the development of novel antiparasitic drugs,promoting non-pharmaceutical control measures,and establishing AR monitoring and early-warning systems.This study aims to provide a scientific basis for formulating effective AR control measures,thereby minimizing economic losses and fostering the healthy and sustainable development of ruminant farming.
