Preparation and Electrochemical Properties of Samarium-Doped Nickel-Cobalt Bimetallic Hydroxide/Carbon Cloth Composites

Abstract
The samarium-doped nickel-cobalt bimetallic hydroxide was loaded on the activated carbon cloth by one-step hydrothermal method using nickel nitrate hexahydrate as the nickel source,cobalt nitrate hexahydrate as the cobalt source,and samarium nitrate hexahydrate as the dopant,and the composite electrode was characterized by XRD,SEM,TEM,XPS,and BET for the physical phase.The obtained samarium-doped nickel-cobalt bimetallic hydroxide is an amorphous burr-like one-dimensional nanostructure,which is uniformly and densely arrayed vertically on the surface of the carbon cloth.The specific surface area of the composite was 78.199 m2/g,and the pore size was 3.046 nm.Electrochemical performance tests showed that the specific capacitance of the composite was 4498.2 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g,and the retention of the specific capacitance was 92.23%after 1000 cycles.This study provides a new idea for the development of hydroxide-based high-performance electrode materials and a simple method for the preparation of Sm-doped high-performance composite electrodes.关键词
