Electrospun Janus Membrane with Temperature-Controlled and Directional Water Transfer Properties

Abstract
In order to develop a high-performance wearable moisture management fabric,Janus membrane with asymmetric wettability for excellent moisture management and thermoregulation properties was prepared by electrospinning in this article.The hydrophilic layer consisted of polyacrylonitrile@n-octadecane(PAN@Oct),the hydrophobic layer was composed of polyvinylidene difluoride/polylactic acid/hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide(PVDF/PLA/CTAB).The morphology and latent heat value of the fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimeter,and the effect of hydrophobic layer spinning time on the unidirectional water permeability of membranes was investigated.The results revealed that the hydrophilic layer fibers showed an obvious core-sheath structure,the latent heat value was 51.7 J/g,and the membrane exhibited the highest droplet penetration rate(116.67 pL/s)at a spinning time of 45 min.Infrared thermography shows that the Janus membrane achieves 5℃temperature rise regulation within 5 min under photothermal action,and its heat shielding efficiency is improved by about 55%compared with uniaxial electrospun membrane.The introduction of phase change materials and the asymmetric design of Janus structure together enhance the thermal regulation and moisture management performance of the membrane,and the results provide a new strategy for the functionalized design of smart fabrics.关键词
