Application of early enteral nutrition combined with modified enhanced recovery protocol in patients undergoing robot-assisted laparoscopic pancreatectomy

Abstract
Objective:To explore the application effect of early enteral nutrition(EEN)combined with modified enhanced recovery protocol(MERP)in robot-assisted laparoscopic pancreatectomy.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 105 pancreatic cancer patients who were treated at Ruijin Hospital,Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine from January 2020 to March 2024.Patients were divided into the combined group(n=53,receiving EEN combined with MERP)and the control group(n=52,receiving conventional postoperative management).Postoperative recovery indicators(time to first flatus,ambulation,oral intake,and length of hospital stay),nutritional indicators(serum albumin,prealbumin,transferrin),serum gastrointestinal hormone levels(motilin,gastrin,calcitonin gene-related peptide,ghrelin),pain intensity(numerical rating scale,NRS),and psychological states(state-trait anxiety inventory,STAI)were collected and compared between the two groups.Results:The combined group had significantly shorter times for first postoperative oral intake,ambulation,flatus,and hospital stay compared to the control group(P＜0.05).After intervention,nutritional markers and gastrointestinal hormone levels were significantly higher in the combined group than those in the the control group(P＜0.05).NRS scores at 24 h,48 h and 72 h postoperatively,as well as psychological status scores,were significantly lower in the combined group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The combination of EEN and MERP demonstrates favorable outcomes in patients undergoing robot-assisted laparoscopic pancreatectomy,positively influencing postoperative recovery,nutritional status,gastrointestinal hormone secretion,pain control,and psychological status.关键词
