摘要

Abstract

Adaptive optics(AO)is used to continuously measure and correct eye aberrations.The refraction of the human eye is corrected by contact lenses and excimer laser surgery.In low-light vision conditions,when the pupil diameter of the human eye expands to 5-7 mm,higher-order aberrations will affect visual acuity.The combination of wavefront(WF)technology and AO systems allows preoperative evaluation of refractive surgery to compensate for the high order opti-cal aberrations of the human eye and guide the surgeon in selecting surgical parameters.This article provides a brief history of AO and a review of wavefront sensing technology(WST)and its principles,starting with a description of the Shaker-Hartmann method,which can measure wave aberrations in the eye in vivo.The limitations of eye wavefront due to intraocu-lar lens(IOL)polymer materials and design,as well as future prospects for improving patient vision quality and meeting clinical needs are described.
