木薯新品种华南22号的选育及指纹图谱构建
Breeding of New Cassava Variety South China 22 and Construction of Its Fingerprint Profile

Abstract
South China 22(SC22,Manihot esculenta Crantz cv.SC No.22,Approval No.Re Pin Shen 2022001),a new cas-sava variety,was bred by artificial hybridization with cassava variety South China 5(SC5)as the female parent and the intro-duced Thai variety as the male parent to obtain F1 hybrid seeds,followed by seedling line tests,primary variety comparison tests,advanced variety comparison tests,regional trials and productive trials.The fresh root yield of this variety in regional trials and productive trials was 48.40 t·hm-2 and 39.30 t·hm-2,respectively,which was 31.56%and 20.59%higher than that of SC205,the main cultivated cassava variety in China;the starch content of tuberous roots was 26.33%and 26.10%,respectively,slightly higher than that of SC205(control);the cyanogenic glycoside content of fresh roots was 90.63 mg·kg-1,belonging to a medium-high cyanogenic glycoside variety.Comprehensive experimental results show that South China 22 is a new variety with excellent plant type,strong growth vigor,great yield potential,and well-coordinated tuberous root yield and starch con-tent,which is suitable for popularization and utilization in low-latitude areas of China,such as Hainan,Guangdong,and Gua-ngxi.In addition,the fingerprint profile of South China 22 was constructed based on the"presence-absence"polymorphism of transposable elements in the genome,providing a basis for variety identification and protection.关键词
