Abstract

Pleats,as an important design element in clothing styling,have a long history of craftsmanship and fabric expression.Their significance and universality in clothing design are self-evident.This article takes the pleated clothing processed by high-temperature setting technology as the main research object.In modern clothing design,it is also called"pleated clothing."After the fabric is pleated,it presents a unique texture effect and good shape retention,and has the spatial shaping beauty that combines decoration and functionality.At the same time,it conforms to the characteristics of modern clothing mass production and has been favored by consumers in recent years.With the rapid development of digital technology and the fashion industry,the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is a systematic analysis method that quantifies qualitative problems and is used to solve decision-making problems composed of complex multiple factors.In previous studies,it has been used to construct digital innovative design methods in the field of clothing,optimize design schemes,and even establish design evaluation systems based on structural features and aesthetic dimensions.The research value is particularly important.However,the pleated clothing in this article is a rational expression of the combination of art and technology.Unlike the spatial limitations of fixed patterns in ordinary clothing,the fabric has comfort and elasticity after pleating,and the patterns present a structure without"dart."The clothing shape is achieved through the mutual combination of fabric pleats and pattern changes during the pleating process.The design process involves complex spatial composition issues.How to scientifically analyze its design elements and establish a systematic design method has become a difficult point in current research.Based on the requirements of pleating technology,this article explores the extraction and weight distribution of design elements from the perspective of the spatial dimension of design composition,combined with the analytic hierarchy process,providing theoretical support and practical guidance for pleated clothing design. The study aims to explore the diversity of spatial modeling of clothing during the pleating process,optimize the design scheme,and meet consumers'diverse demands for the individuality of clothing.Based on the spatial dimension perspectives of plane composition and three-dimensional composition in design composition,this article divides the spatial composition of pleated clothing design into two-dimensional space and three-dimensional space.Through extensive personal practice and market case analysis,AHP was applied to extract elements for the two-dimensional classification of pleated patterns and the changes in pattern composition in pleated clothing,as well as the three-dimensional spatial classification and the aesthetic appeal of the patterns.The weight values of each level and index were obtained,and then the design model of the spatial composition of pleated clothing was derived.Based on the design model obtained from this comprehensive evaluation,the aesthetic preference sequence of the spatial composition design of pleated clothing was determined,a scientific,reasonable and easy-to-operate design method was provided,and a design theory system for comprehensive process decision-making was established.The research results show that in choosing the spatial composition design of pleated clothing,in the two-dimensional space,the preference for pattern variation increased edge expansion,the preference for pleated classification increased straight and curved lines,and in the three-dimensional space,the preference for shape aesthetics increased three-dimensional layering.This reflects that users have a greater aesthetic demand for the hanging and flowing silhouettes in the extended space. This article provides a scientific and reasonable design method for the spatial composition design of pleated clothing.It has reference value for the preferred sequence of pleated classification and clothing pattern changes in different spaces,which is helpful to improve the quality and level of spatial modeling design of pleated clothing and meet the needs and expectations of different customers.The research also has certain limitations,such as the subjectivity of the evaluation method,the omission of evaluation indicators,and the small sample size.These need to be continuously improved and perfected in future in-depth studies.
