Abstract
Cytological examination of peritoneal dialysis fluid is a key diagnostic technique for identifying peritoneal dialysis-related complications(such as peritonitis)and can also be used for the differential diagnosis of diseases such as intraperitoneal hemorrhage,perforation,and peritoneal metastasis of tumors.However,due to significant differences in sample sources and cellular characteristics between peritoneal dialysis fluid and ascites,and the long-term lack of unified technical standards in this field,its clinical application and promotion have been severely limited.Therefore,it is urgent to establish technical specifications for cytological examination of peritoneal dialysis fluid.This consensus systematically outlines the objectives,specimen collection,operational procedures,reporting formats,and clinical significance of peritoneal dialysis fluid cytology,aiming to promote the standardization and normalization of this technology and provide a reliable basis for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.关键词
