Abstract
In order to solve the defects caused by uneven heat transfer in the traditional casting process,this study is based on the solidification theory of iron and steel metallurgy,and 8.8-ton of round steel ingot is taken as the research object,Solid Works and Pro CAST software were used for 3D modeling and numerical simulation,and the effects of pouring temperature,ther-mal conductivity of insulation plate,thickness of cover plate and gap width on the internal shrinkage porosity and solidification structure of steel ingots were studied.The results show that the pouring temperature increases,the depth of concentrated shrinkage porosity increases,the volume of shrinkage porosity first decreases and then increases,grain number decreases,and the columnar grain volume increases.The thermal conductivity of the insulation board increased from 0.10 W/(m·K)to 1.00 W/(m·K),and the shrinkage depth also increased.The concentrated shrinkage depth increased by 32.02%.When the cover thickness is 90 mm and the gap width is 20 mm,the depth of the central shrinkage cavity decreased by 0.71%,and the volume of the shrinkage cavity reduced by 6.36%.This study provides a theoretical basis and practical guidance for minimizing internal defects,improving ingot yield,and ensuring the quality of subsequent forging.关键词
