Abstract

Aiming at the problem of method mismatch in the determination of high-content magnesium in aluminum alloys by flame atomic absorption spectrometry(FAAS)specified in the current national standard GB/T 20975.16-2020,an analytical method for the determination of high-content magnesium by flame atomic absorption spectrometry was studied.After the sample is dissolved with hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide,the matrix matching method is adopted to correct the interference of the aluminum matrix,and strontium chloride is added to eliminate the interference of rare earth elements(La,Ce,Sc).The most sensitive line at 285.2 nm was selected,and the sensitivity was reduced by deflecting the burner by 30° to expand the measurement range.The results show that the mass concentration of magnesium has a good linear relationship with its absorbance in the range of 0.00~10.00 mg/L;the precision RSD(n=10)is 0.98%~1.75%,the recovery rates of standard addition are 96.00%-108.00%,and the method detection limit is 0.003 66 μg/mL.The method is simple to operate,and its accuracy and precision meet the analytical requirements.The determination results are consistent with those of the CDTA titration method and ICP-AES method,enabling accurate and rapid determination of magnesium in high-magnesium aluminum alloys.
