Application of Yeast Surface Display Technology in the Reseach of Feed Enzymes

Abstract
Yeast surface display(YSD)is a whole-cell catalytic technology that achieves immobilized presentation of functional enzymes on the yeast cell surface.This is accomplished by fusing heterologous functional enzymes with yeast cell wall proteins and leveraging natural intracellular transport mechanisms(such as glycosylphosphatidylinositol(GPI)-anchored system and protein with internal repeats(Pir)-protein system,etc.)to transport these fusion proteins to the cell membrane surface.Traditional enzyme preparations suffer from high separation and purification costs,low product reuse rates,and poor stability.In contrast,whole-cell catalysts produced using YSD technology require no additional purification or immobilization steps.Compared to free enzymes,whole-cell catalysts also exhibit superior stability and can be reused multiple times.In order to facilitate the researchers in relevant fields to understand the current research status and application potential of YSD technology in the field of feed enzymes,this review firstly introduces the types and functions of common feed enzymes and yeast cell wall-anchored proteins;secondly,it compares and summarizes the advantages of yeast surface-displayed feed enzymes over traditional free enzymes in terms of enzymatic properties and applications;and finally,it analyzes the problems of YSD for feed enzymes and possible research directions in the future.关键词
