Abstract
Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)is a severe neurological injury caused by perinatal asphyxia events.Therapeutic hypothermia has been proven to significantly reduce the mortality and the risk of long-term severe neurodevelopmental impairment in infants with moderate-to-severe HIE.In February 2026,the American Academy of Pediatrics published Therapeutic Hypothermia for Neonatal Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy:Clinical Report(American 2026 report).Incorporating high-quality evidence from recent clinical researches,American 2026 report provides systematic updates on the implementation strategies and comprehensive management of therapeutic hypothermia based on Hypothermia and Neonatal Encephalopathy(American 2014 report).This article offers a comparative interpretation of American 2026 report in conjunction with American 2014 report and Expert Consensus on Therapeutic Hypothermia in Neonates with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(2022)in China,with the aim of benefiting clinical practice.关键词
