Abstract
Accession to the World Trade Organization has created a more open market environment for China's aquatic products trade, but in recent years, factors such as trade friction between China and the United States, the new crown epidemic and other factors have had a far-reaching impact on the global trade pattern, which has brought new challenges to China's aquatic products trade.Based on China's fishery products import and export trade data from 2001 to 2023,this paper deeply portrays the evolution of its trade pattern, and gets the conclusions such as:(1)China's trade in aquatic products has gone through three stages of rapid growth, stable development and fluctuating adjustment, especially in recent years, when the trade pattern shifted from a long-term surplus to a deficit, and the scale of imports expanded significantly.(2)The trade pattern has gradually expanded from being dominated by the European and American markets to emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, forming a more balanced global supply network.Traditional markets(such as Japan, the United States,South Korea)still occupy an important position in the trade of high-value-added aquatic products, while the rise of Southeast Asia,South America and some African countries in the supply side of the diversification of the trade pattern.(3)The import and export pattern of aquatic products is affected by product characteristics, fresh transportation conditions and consumer demand, and fresh products are more inclined to regional trade, while frozen and chilled varieties account for a higher proportion in the international market.According to the research findings, this paper proposes that China's aquatic products trade should optimize the supply chain layout, expand emerging markets, consolidate high-end market share, enhance the added value of products, and achieve sustainable development and global competitiveness with the help of regional economic cooperation and policy support.关键词
