摘要

Abstract

Objective To explore the research status, hotspots, and trends in the application of non-invasive brain stimulation(NIBS)technology in the field of post-stroke aphasia. Methods The Web of Science core collection was selected as the data source. The literature on the application of NIBS technology in post-stroke aphasia published from January 1,2007 to December 31,2025 were retrieved.Bibliometric and visual analyses of publication counts, countries, institutions, journals, authors, and keywords were performed using software such as VOSviewer and CiteSpace. The co-occurrence frequencies of countries, institutions, authors, and keywords within the same publication were counted to construct co-occurrence networks. The centrality of countries, institutions, authors, and keywords was calculated to identify key hubs connecting different knowledge clusters in the co-occurrence networks, with nodes having centrality≥0.10 considered key nodes.Authors' H-indices were obtained from the Web of Science database.Co-occurrence networks of journals and keywords were subjected to cluster analysis, forming journal co-occurrence cluster network maps and keyword cluster maps, respectively. The silhouette value was used as a quantitative indicator of keyword clustering quality, with an average silhouette value>0.5 indicating a clear and reasonable cluster structure.Keyword bursts were detected using the burst detection function based on Kleinberg's algorithm to identify keywords with high burst strength.Results(1)A total of 395 articles(including original research and reviews)on the application of NIBS technology in post-stroke aphasia published in the Web of Science database from January 1,2007 to December 31,2025 were included. The annual number of publications showed an overall upward trend, with significant growth observed during 2009-2011,2016-2018,2020-2022,and 2023-2024.The number of publications peaked in 2024(35articles).(2)A total of 47countries published relevant literature in the application of NIBS technology in post-stroke aphasia. The United States ranked first in publication count(134articles),with a centrality of 0.10.China ranked second(69 articles),but its centrality was only 0.01.Germany,Italy,and the United Kingdom ranked third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.France ranked eighth(19articles)but had the highest centrality(0.24).Among the top 5 courtiers with the highest publication counts, the United States and the United Kingdom maintained direct collaborative relationships with most other countries in the research network, serving as key intermediary nodes. In contrast, the publication impact of the countries with high recent publication counts within the international academic collaboration network, such as China and Italy, still remained modest and had potential for further improvement.Six of the top 10 institutions(in publication count)were from the United States, with Johns Hopkins University ranked first(22articles).Harvard University and its medical affiliates ranked second, each published 17articles,both with a centrality of 0.15.The IRCCS Santa Lucia(14articles),and including Harvard Medical School and Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris(AP-HP),the other five institutions(each with 12 articles)also ranked high in publication count.(3)The journal Frontiers in Neurology ranked first in publication count(19articles).Stroke ranked second(15 articles)but had the highest total citation count(1 496 citations).Aphasiology,Brain and Language, and Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair tied for third place(each with14 articles).Journals publishing relevant literature were mainly clustered into 3 groups:neuroscience and advanced brain function journals(e.g.,Brain and Language,Neurocase, etc.),frontier interdisciplinary research journals(e.g.,Frontiers in Neurology,Frontiers in Neuroscience, etc.),and clinical neurology journals(e.g.,Stroke,Restorative Neurology and Neuroscience,etc.).The clusters showed strong interconnections.(4)The top 3authors by publication count were Hillis Argye E from Johns Hopkins University,USA(12 articles,H-index 70);Fridriksson Julius from the University of South Carolina-Columbia,USA(11articles,H-index 50);and Ralph Matthew A Lambon from the University of Manchester,UK(10 articles,H-index 89).Hillis Argye E from Johns Hopkins University,USA,and Marangolo Paola from the University of Naples Federico Ⅱ,Italy, had relatively higher centrality(both 0.02),while other authors had lower centrality. The top 2authors,Hillis Argye E and Fridriksson Julius, had a close collaborative relationship with a tendency toward group formation, whereas the remaining authors showed limited collaborations.(5)The top 10 keywords by frequency were"transcranial magnetic stimulation(tms)""recovery""stroke""non-invasive brain stimulation""post-stroke aphasia""language""non-fluent aphasia""speech""brain stimulation"and"therapy".Among these,"language"had the highest centrality(0.13).Keywords were mainly divided into 12 clusters("Broca's area""repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation""stimulation parameters""brain-derived neurotrophic factor""MRI""semantic cognition""arcuate fasciculus""lexical access""cognitive syndromes""speech-language therapy""anterior temporal lobe""activation"),with high cross-overlap between clusters. The silhouette value for each cluster was>0.5.The top3keywords by burst strength in the relevant literature were"tms""rehabilitation"and"language therapy".The top 3 keywords by burst strength in the past five years were"language therapy""theta burst stimulation"and"functional connectivity".Conclusions From 2007 to 2025,the quantity of publications regarding the application of NIBS technology in post-stroke aphasia within the Web of Science database exhibited a year-on-year upward trend. The United States,China,Germany,Italy, and the United Kingdom are the principal research forces in this field, with universities and research institutions in Europe and America being the core output sources.Relevant research is concentrated in authoritative and cutting-edge journals in the fields of neuroscience and clinical neurology.Researchers with high publication volumes maintain close collaborations and exhibit a tendency toward teamwork.Among these,"language therapy""theta burst stimulation"and"functional connectivity"signify recent research hotspots and future trends.
