Research progress on hypoxia-inducible factor-1α and its changes in diseases
摘要
Abstract
Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)is a core tran-scription factor that enables cells to adapt to hypoxic environ-ments and it is involved in various processes such as angiogen-esis,energy metabolism,cell proliferation,and apoptosis.In recent years,numerous studies have revealed that abnormal el-evation of HIF-1α levels is closely related to the nervous sys-tem,respiratory system,cardiovascular system,and metabolic diseases,suggesting its significant role in the occurrence and development of hypoxia-related diseases.This article reviews the structural characteristics and regulatory mechanisms of HIF-1α,focuses on summarizing its expression changes and func-tions in various diseases,explores its potential as a diagnostic marker and therapeutic target,and looks forward to future re-search directions.关键词
