Abstract
Forestry,as a fundamental and strategic resource supporting national ecological security and sustainable economic and social development,has seen its strategic importance evolve dynamically in response to national development imperatives and global governance demands.In the new era of ecological civilization,the status of forestry has been systematically expanded:it runs through key strategic pillars such as national security,climate governance,and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals,while covering development dimensions including high-quality green development,rural revitalization,Chinese modernization,and ecological civilization construction.Thus,it has become critical to safeguarding territorial security,achieving the dual carbon goals,promoting green growth,and fostering harmony between humanity and nature.Practice has shown that forestry has risen from a conventional industry to a core component of the national security system and the overall modernization endeavors.Concurrently,forestry development exhibits three major trends:first,the coordinated advancement of high-quality development and high-level protection,with deep integration of green development and ecological value realization;second,the dual-engine drive of smart and intelligent technology,which enhances management efficiency and strengthens supply chain resilience through technological innovation;third,the synergistic enhancement of diverse symbiosis and multi-functional benefits,whereby biodiversity conservation and comprehensive forestry benefits reinforce each other.Looking ahead,forestry in the new era must not only consolidate its resource foundation,but also adapt to the imperatives of the times,fully leveraging its comprehensive functions,and contributing to the advancement of ecological civilization and even to global sustainable development.关键词
